23 wineries of the DO Penedès and 8 restaurants in Sitges are participating in the second edition of this wine and gastronomic initiative that claims that the DO Penedès is also Garraf. The dinners start on November 5 and end on December 2
After the success of the first edition, the DO Penedès once again unites its best wines with the cuisine of the main restaurants in Sitges. The 2nd DO Penedès Gastronomic Route in Sitges will take place from November 5 to December 2, 2022, and 23 wineries of the DO Penedès and 8 prominent restaurants in the town will participate. The objective is to continue developing actions that make the potential and quality of Penedès wines known to the final public, and at the same time highlight the very high gastronomic level of the territory. So the producers of Penedès wines will personally present their products in very special and well-kept pairing dinners, where each restaurateur will also propose a selection of their best dishes. The 2nd DO Penedès Gastronomic Route in Sitges is supported by the Sitges Hospitality Guild, Sitges City Council and TotHoSap magazine!
The best Penedès wines in the best restaurants in Sitges
As in the last edition, four Penedès wines will be tasted at each of the dinners. In this edition, you can discover wines from 23 wineries distributed in the 8 participating restaurants. The wineries that will participate in the 2nd DO Penedès Gastronomic Route in Sitges will be AT Roca, Albet i Noya, Alsina & Sardà, Avgvstvs Forvm, Can Ràfols dels Caus, Can Feixes, Celler Credo, Celler Hospital de Sitges, Clot dels Oms, Gramona, Jané Ventura, Joan Segura Pujadas, Mas Bertran, Mas Tinell, Nadal, Parés Baltà, Pinord, Property of Espiells – Juvé & Camps, Puig Batet, Ramon Canals, Sumarroca, Vallformosa and Viladellops.
The DO Penedès is also Garraf
The 2nd edition of this route also seeks to strengthen the ties between the wine and gastronomic wealth of Penedès and Garraf. Under the theme "The DO Penedès is also Garraf" the route wants to highlight that many of the Penedès wines are born and made in the Garraf.
In order to be able to enjoy all the wine proposals of the cellars of the DO Penedès, the participating restaurants in Sitges have prepared tasting menus with local products that will show the gastronomic tradition of the territory, so we wait for you on November, 12th at the Mare Nostrum Restaurant at 21:00h!
